What is Zamak?
Zamak is a mix alloy of zinc, aluminium, magnesium and copper that is dipped in silver. It is part of the die-casting manufacturing process and it has higher aluminium levels than any other alloy. This is why Zamak jewelries are firm and solid. The hardness gives a bold look and it has a longer lifespan than other zinc can offer.
Why Zamak material?
Zamak alloy has great quality. The blend of zinc, aluminium and copper make it a great material that has the perfect hardness for fashion accessories. The finished products have excellent plating to create necklaces, bracelets, earrings, pendants, and other pieces of stunning jewelry designs.
Zamak is Hypoallergenic
Some people have allergies or sensitivities to metal compositions so when jewelry pieces are worn they develop skin irritation. Sometimes it leaves a stain on the skin making it itchy. This is due to the metal oxidation from skin perspiration. Some signs of skin irritation are rashes on the neck or red marks on the earlobes. There is also discolored jewelry that can cause a skin rash. People are born with these irritations and they are advised not to wear any metals that create these reactions. Commonly, the reaction occurs after 24 hours of wearing it.
Unlike the typical accessories, Zamak provides hypoallergenic properties due to its purity. It does not cause a skin rash when perspiration occurs. Zamak is designed for people with sensitive skin so they can wear fabulous items comfortably. It is a reliable alloy that keeps your skin non-reactive without having allergy symptoms.
